My name is Ashes, I've lived and walked among the peaks of Northwest Montana all my life. I was born here and these forests raised me. My path to tattooing almost seemed inevitable as I found my way into adulthood. Weaving with the ever present, palpable need to create and collaborate with all that was around me. Over time I found myself overtaken by the call to work deeper with ancestral symbology and practice. Immersing myself in far off lands that held reverence in the marrow of my bone and the fire of my blood. From that wellspring is the very essence of what I feel responsible to share within this space of tattooing. The ancient and endless way of communing in ceremony and embodied ritual. Immortalizing the recognition within ourselves and our relationship to our spirit, our ancestors, our human and non-human kin, and the landscape. Here is where we find our rites of passage into reclamation, expansive transformation, and relation. “The Well is within you..”

My deepest gratitude to those who feel a connection to this work.
